About Pioneer Community Care

At Pioneer Community Care, your health and well‑being are our highest priorities. We are a Nurse Practitioner‑led primary care clinic proudly serving patients in Athens, Georgia, and the surrounding communities. Our approach to healthcare is personalized, science‑based, and rooted in compassion, because we believe you deserve care that doesn’t rush you or overlook what matters most to your health.

Who We Are

Under the leadership of Aynaddis Fekadu, APRN, FNP‑BC, our team provides comprehensive primary care with a focus on listening, understanding, and empowering you to live your healthiest life. We know how frustrating it feels when healthcare becomes quick prescriptions and brief visits without answers. That’s why we built a practice where you are truly heard, valued, and supported.

Our clinicians embrace a holistic and integrative model of care. Rather than only treating symptoms, we partner with you to address the root causes of illness, prevent disease, and promote long‑term wellness. We combine evidence‑based medicine with lifestyle guidance, education, and thoughtful support so you can feel confident in your health journey.

We believe healthcare should feel human. That means hearing your concerns, celebrating your progress, and adjusting your care as your life changes. Many patients find that working with us feels like having a trusted partner in health, someone who believes real health outcomes come from understanding the whole person.

At Pioneer Community Care, our approach is guided by a simple belief: healthcare should treat the whole person, not just symptoms. We focus on personalized, compassionate care that empowers you to take control of your health and well-being. Explore the core values of our philosophy below.

Aynaddis Fekadu
APRN, FNP-BC.

Hi there!

My name is Aynaddis Fekadu, I am a Family Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

I help my patients achieve their goal of getting healthy and living healthy.

I know the frustrating routine of going to a health care provider, waiting hours to be seen, then being rushed out with a prescription for another pill for your symptoms, without permanent solutions and without your questions being answered. I spent many years as a health care provider within that dysfunctional system, and that is why I chose to create a different setting where my patients are listened to and cared for in a Holistic and Integrative manner.

I believe in providing Holistic & Integrative care; treating the whole person (body, mind, and emotion) using both conventional medicine and lifestyle modification, to achieve a state of holistic health and wellness. I am passionate about preventive care and empowering my patients with education.

I have been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care and Oncology/Hematology settings since 2010, after graduating from the university of Massachusetts- Boston with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Oral Roberts university in Tulsa Oklahoma and worked as a Registered Nurse for 10 years in a variety of acute care settings including cardiology, neurology, and orthopedic care.

I pursued graduate school in Advanced Practice Nursing and become a Nurse Practitioner when I realized that most of the chronic conditions that plagued the patients I cared for as a Registered Nurse  were mostly a result of unhealthy lifestyle and could be well controlled, resolved, or even prevented with the right treatment and lifestyle modification (not to mention the cost and burden of care to patients and their families that could have been avoided).

My job as a Nurse Practitioner continues to keep me curious and I cannot imagine doing anything else. It is never too late for you to start getting healthy, and I look forward to working with you whenever you are ready to take a step towards getting healthy.
